Bobcat will be present at one of the biggest events of construction, public works and mining that takes place this year in Zaragoza, the SMOPYC fair. This will open its doors from April 25 to 29, 2017. It has been spoken of this event as "the edition of change and takeoff of the new era", and a Hall that will rebound after the crisis and that aims to be the engine of development for the manufacturers of the sector. In it visitors can enjoy the latest innovations presented in the market. In this edition Bobcat will show the latest developments in compact equipment, as well as the new generation of telescopic handlers.

As a first in Spain will be the last model that has just seen the light, the new E17Z excavator with zero overhang (ZTS). A 1.7 ton excavator with open cab. Its compact size, together with its great stability and its transport weight make this machine the perfect choice for applications in confined spaces. Of this model it is worth mentioning the zero cantilever turn and its cab swing design (ZHS) with 320 ° free rotation, which at the same time protects the upper front structure, ensuring that the front corners are inside the circle of rotation when the Caterpillars are fully extended when working near walls and other obstacles. The ease of transport thanks to its weight, the E17Z can be transported in trailers of 2200 kg in weight, and as it integrates anchor points in the upper structure, transportation becomes easier.

Its impressive digging force and its exceptional working perimeter, the smoothness of the work group functions and the speed of hydraulic performance, which translates into reduced cycle times, in addition to its reliability, durability and simple accessibility for the work of maintenance. The cab of the E17Z offers excellent visibility and safety as well as ergonomic features providing unsurpassed comfort conditions for the operator. The E17Z has a standard operating weight of 1749 kg and a maximum excavation depth of 2249 mm, with the lower retractable train, the anchor points of the upper structure and the advanced diagnostic system. The hydraulic system of the E17Z allows you to maximize the power of the engine. The rapidity of the cycle times, combined with the smooth control of the excellent starting forces, offers maximum productivity. To improve the overall smoothness of the working group, the cylinders of the boom and arm are cushioned, which is unique in its class. The E17Z incorporates the hydraulic system architecture of the Bobcat E20 top model, which combines variable displacement piston pumps with a gear pump. By taking full advantage of its stability and lifting capacity, the E17Z also offers the greatest versatility in the use of a wide range of attachments. The impressive unloading height of the E17Z makes it easier to load trucks, while the reach at ground level allows digging without having to move the excavator so often. The use of long-lasting materials ensures that the Bobcat E17Z is sturdy, robust and easy to repair.

All design features have been tested under extreme conditions, and the tailgate and heavy-gauge steel covers ensure durability and peace of mind during work. The tailgate is protected by a cast iron counterweight. And as a great novelty at Smopyc, Bobcat will have at its stand the new high-lift telescopic handler T35.130SLP for the construction and rental markets. This belongs to the new range of telescopic handlers with rigid frame, with maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.1 t and lifting heights between 6 and 18 m, backed by a three-year series warranty.

The new generation of Bobcat telescopic handlers comes equipped with the self-developed Bobcat D34 phase IV engine. Thanks to the compact size of the D34 engine and a low profile hood and its new design, visibility has improved on the engine side. This is available in three different sizes: 55.2 kW (75 HP) and 325 N · m which offers economical use, without liquid injection for diesel exhaust (DEF) and with diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) as the sole technology of post treatment 74.5 kW (100 HP) and 430 N · m for high intensity operations, with DOC post-treatment technologies and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) with DEF injection. And of 97 kW (130 CV) and 500 N · m that uses technologies of post treatment DOC and SCR with injection of DEF, for demanding applications that require more power. All engines share the same electronic fuel injection, Common Rail high-pressure technology, turbocharger air management and cooled exhaust gas recirculation to reduce emissions and dispense with diesel particulate filter technology (DPF) ). The T35.130SLP telescopic handler incorporates several new features such as an automatic parking brake with intuitive operation similar to those used in the automotive industry, providing greater safety and control. And also the ECO mode of fuel saving. The ECO system works at the push of a button on the dashboard and maintains optimal hydraulic performance without using all the power of the engine by adjusting the main features of the machine to achieve a balance between maximum performance and the optimal relationship between performance and fuel consumption. Next to the automatic parking brake and the ECO mode, the advanced features include an optional air suspension double seat, an optional automatic reversing fan that is electronically controlled to adjust the rotation speed as a function of temperature, assuming considerable savings of energy.

Also available as standard is the SMS Speed ​​Management System, which allows the speed of travel to be regulated independently of the engine speed. The intelligent SHS (Smart Handling System) management system, which allows you to adjust the speed of the movements of the boom (elevation, extension, inclination) depending on the type of work being carried out. Auxiliary flow management AFM (Auxiliary Flow Management), thanks to which the hydraulic power can be regulated according to the requirements of the implement and establish a continuous flow. And the Fast Connect System FCS (Fast Connect System), which allows quick and easy hydraulic tool change thanks to an integrated pressure relief system. The cabin of this machine is one of the most comfortable on the market equipped with mechanical or pneumatic suspension, the operator enjoys an ergonomic arrangement of the controls, all within reach.
